Shock!

No, no pictures! But thought that I had better write something so you would all realize that we are still alive!
We went up to Gail & Lynn's this past weekend. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! Andrea came from Colorado, Carissa and they kids came from Moscow. Fun was had by all. We didn't do anything, Gail and I didn't even go into Twin. We listened to General Conference and just enjoyed being with the kids! Carrisa's children are growing up so fast and it just shows me how much I am missing watching my own far away grandchildren! I miss you all so much! I do so much love the blog. Having you post pictures and keeping us involved in their activities is the next best thing to being there!
We came home Sunday afternoon, watched the last session of Conference, then Nic, Cyndi and children came and visited with us for a little while. It was great playing with the kids and visiting.
I hope that everyone will have beautiful Easter. Just like what was said in General Conference, this week especially we need to remember Christ's life and his life saving Atonement. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I can't phantom the pain that he endured for my sins. I think that the one talk that strengthened my resolve was Bro. Jeffery R. Holland's. I challenge each of you to read the conference talks when they come out. I know that my testimony & love for our prophet and apostles was strengthened this session and if I will read the addresses again I will learn & love my Savior more, making me want to live a better life.
I love you all!!!

Well, I am not going to get pictures posted today. Kelly has left for the day and so I'll try later. California was so wonderful. We traveled 3 hours in a blizzard to get to the airport; waited for the plane to get into Salt Lake for almost an hour; then sat on the plane for close to another hour for them to clean the tarmac and de-ice the plane before we could take off. But after that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Tysha rented a GPS and let me tell you all, that that piece of technology is the most wonderful piece of invention since penicillian! If I made a wrong turn there was no sweat and tears figuring that you would never hear from us again, being lost for good! We just heard this wonderful word, "recalculating!" I don't think that I would be too worried about driving anywhere if I had a GPS'as my partner. While Tysha was in meetings I walked the city streets. There was big shopping center that covered about three or four city blocks with dozens and dozens of stores and a movie complex that had 30 screens. This was just a couple of blocks away from our hotel. I visited the Crystal Cathedral and grounds which took an afternoon to just tour the different buildings on that premesis. On Thursday I went to Newport Beach all by myself! It was a cooler, foggy day so I had the whole beach to myself. There were only a handful of fishermen on the pier so I just watched them fish for awhile. That evening after Tysha's meetings she wanted to visited the beach so we went to Newport at 10:00 pm. We got there about 10:45 and found out that the beach is closed every night at 10:00. A security guard was just coming off the beach in his patrol jeep. I stopped him to ask if we could go down to the water front. He told us that the beach was closed and that he had just finished his security sweep of the beach, everything was quiet and safe. He said that he wouldn't be back for awhile. He told me that he couldn't tell me to break the law but he was sure that he wouldn't be back anytime soon. So Tysha went wading in the water. She loved it! We hated to come back to the real world of work but I guess we wouldn't appreciate these things if we had them everyday. Hopefully I will get some pictures posted soon. I am truly glad that we are home safe and sound. It was a nice place to visit but way to big for me!

Tyson's basket ball game

Last Saturday we went to Tyson's basketball game. It was so fun to watch the kids. Tyson did a great job on defense. He really played hard! Thanks Tyson for inviting us! Eilisa took the picutres while Tysha took care of Madison. Madison wanted to get out on the court and play with the big kids! Tyson was real cute with her when he was sitting out, he wanted to hold her and talk to her. We then went and had a hamburger, fries, rootbeer and ice cream for lunch. Then Tyson had to take his Aunt Eilisa to the Fun Park and show her how to drive the race cars. They had a lot of fun. We can hardly wait for everyone to be home for Thanksgiving! It will be so crazy but loads of fun! Thanks for your comments, you were faster than my posting. Eilisa got the pictures up but she told me that I had to write. When I got to it this afternoon there were Jennie's and Heidi's commments already! Wow, you two are on top of things.
See you all soon!

What can I say?

Don't have much to say, we are not that interesting. Well, Tysha is but I am not. Ok I will try to list what has happened since the last posting.

We received the People Choice award for the Portage booth at the Box Elder County Fair. The mayor is so pleased with our work that he told us that the Town of Portage would pay for our dinner at the Dude Ranch in Malad. Now isn't that extravagant spending for Portage? Ha, Ha!

Tysha enjoyed her training in Memphis and made new friends there. They keep in touch and help each other with the hotels. She went and got her eyes examined. She ordered new glasses as well as contacts. She will get the glasses in a couple of weeks and she will be examined again to see if the contacts are working.

I spent a week and a half out with Heath, Heidi & family and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was so much fun getting to know Little Saydee May and Elliana Ruth. It was so hard to leave them.

We had Tyson over for Bryson birthday the weekend that we came home. The boys had a sleep over at Grandma Nese's and played the next day for hours!

Tyson came over the a week after that and we had another sleep over with them. They play so well together now. Almost no misunderstandings. We went to a movie that afternoon before Tyson had to go back to his mom's. They are cute kids. I love having them stay with me.

We are trying to plan to get Tyson during UEA weekend and go visit Brinklee and Mckenzie. I think that they would enjoy time together. They haven't been with each other for over a year. I can't wait to go.

I have another big audit coming next week and I am a basket case all ready. This one is with the new Finance Director from Salt Lake. You never know what they will find or think you've done wrong. So prayers are always welcome in our behalf.

We seem to just go to work and come home try to do a little (little being the operative word) house cleaning. We visit Nic, Cyndi and the kids when we can. Little Liah (that's the spelling for today) is growing so quickly. Sara is starting to really like Tysha and myself which is nice. Of course Bryson has always liked being with us so there isn't a problem when we watch all of them now when Nic takes Cyndi out sometimes.

We are looking forward to having Eilisa & Madison home for a month. That will be so fun. Then of course we are trying to plan for the Thanksgiving bash! I can hardly wait for everyone to be together!

Our prayers and thoughts go out to our little Elliana Ruth and family. We love you all and hope that the surgery will be quick and her recovery will be even quicker. What would we do if we didn't have family, their love and prayers? Life would be real miserable!

So there you have it. Like I said, not much happening in our little part of the world.

Thanks!

Jen,
Thanks so much for nominating me for the award! It made me feel so special. But you really should give two to Eilisa. She is the one that does all the background, music all the special stuff on my blog. I can't nominate anyone else because I don't have friends and you have given the award to the family members that blog. So I am going to just enjoy the nominations.
Hey the new Stephine Meyer's book came out today. I went and got my copy, did anybody else? I can't wait to start reading but have to wait until after the audit Tues.
I love all my family so much and miss all of you more and more. Can't wait until we can all get together.

Miscellaneous

Once again there isn't much going on in our lives. We did take Bryson to Kung Fu Panda last weekend. He seemed to really like it. We had a choice of "Wall E, Space Chimps or Journey to the Center of the Earth." By the time Tysha got off work that evening we didn't have a chance to get to the Walker Theatre on time. All those shows started before 7:00 p.m. We went into Brigham's Capitol just to see what was playing and low and behold Kung Fu Panda and we got in just as it started. Surprisingly pretty good. Bryson liked it anyway. Nic and Cyndi went to the new Batman movie last week and Nic said that he wanted to go see it again because he wasn't sure how he felt about the whole thing.
Saturday night (26th) we had Debbie and Jessica Lucas come over and we watched "Watchers in the Woods." Jessica had never seen it and it has been years since I had. It was fun. Lance, Jennie and the girls gave that DVD to Tysha for her birthday as well as, "Lady in White" and "Changeling." She was in seventh heaven.
The next couple of weeks are going to be real busy for us. We have been asked to help decorate the "Portage" booth for the fair. You know the community booths that are in the big building with all the crafts, canned goods, art work and 4-H displays. Carol Parkinson, Debbie Lucas, Konae Petersen, Tysha and I make up the committee. I am not very creative but the other ladies are so that is all that counts. I can supervise real well. (Ha, ha!)Tysha leaves on Aug. 10th for training in Menphis and will return on the 20th or 21st. I fly out on Aug. 7th to see Heath, Heidi and the kids. I return on the 16th. So you can see that our August has already been pretty well scheduled in for us. That only leaves us a couple of days when we are all back to get the fair display up and ready. I just can't believe how fast time is flying by!
I am also going to have an audit next week so I am going to be just a little bit pre-occupied for a while. That is putting it mildly. I hate audits!!!!
Like I said we are not that exciting! But we do love you all so much and miss you more and more each day.

We also want to wish Tyson the very happiest 7th birthday on July 30th. Wish that we could all be together to celebrate. Eat lots of cake and ice cream for us. Take lots of pictures.
Once again our love to all of you.

LOVE
Grandma Nese :)

Visit

Hi everyone.
Just wanted to let you know that Parris and Dorothy came up Friday evening and spent the night with me. Gail and Lynn came down so it was sort of a "Chet & Ruth Neal" reunion of sorts. Parris stopped off at Famous Dave's and picked up dinner. It was really good. Pulled pork, Bar B Que chicken and spare ribs, corn on the cob and corn meal muffins. It was good of Gail to come down. I am sure that Parris and Dorothy enjoyed visiting with her and Lynn much more than they would have it had just been me. They want to have a yearly reunion and start getting all the kids to come. Think about it.
We really need to get everyone's dates for genealogy purposes. I need birth, baptismal & endowment dates, city and county. I should have had them entered a long time ago but now I am getting calls from family historians that want our information. So could you all please get that to me in the next week? Those that have already given me the information, I thank you very much.
Tysha went to visit Kyla last weekend to celebrate her birthday. She and Kyla went to supper in Twin rented a couple of videos and went back to the house and vegged for the rest of her stay. She came home late Saturday night. She has been called to be in the primary music and her first time to play the piano was Sunday. She did a good job.
Jennie, I am on the second book of the Stephanie Meyers books. I agree, they are good. I had a hard time with the first few chapters they were sort of a yawn. But then it just pulls you in hook line and sinker! I would recommend them to anyone.
You all congratulated me on the new blog look; I have to thank Eilisa for it. She is the one that updates things for me. I am not that good at blogging yet. Maybe some day.
Remember that I love you all and miss you all so much. Looking forward to Thanksgiving when I can see you all.
LOVE Momma Nese :)
